Duties and Responsibilities
Site Supervisors
Site Supervisors are responsible for the daily operation of the program site. The site supervisor works with the program director and program coordinator to provide support in all aspects of the program. These duties include but are not limited to planning, implementation and evaluation. They supervise the program instructors, school- age care staff, communicate with families, build relationships with school staff and faculty and oversee all program activities at their school site. The site supervisor typically leads the partnership team composed of parents, faculty, staff and children, who evaluate the program and provide input for program improvement.
- Every site will have a site supervisor who must be at least 18 years of age, hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED plus at least one year.
- Experience in supporting school and/ or community programs working directly with children.
- Site supervisors will complete annual training as determined by RGEC.
- Site supervisors will work with the program director, coordinator and instructors to organize activities and projects that promote positive youth development and leadership.
Assistant Teacher – Pre-K
Seeking Instructor to join our team the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative Pre- K After School Program.
Instructor Responsibilities
- Classroom prep
- Lead small groups under the direction of Teacher
- Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
- Are caring, compassionate and love what they do!
- Follow lesson plans provided by the Teacher and help gather necessary materials to support the plans.
- Assist the Teacher in all classroom activities
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- 45 hour Certificate
- Flexibility to the hours and schedule of work.
- Able to pass a CYFD and APS background check
- 1 or more years of experience in working in a licensed childcare facility
Instructors
Instructors provide direct instruction to children, provide supervision and guidance of children. They typically participate in the program planning, communication with families and supervising with support staff ( i.e. classroom assistants and volunteers). They attend training and develop lesson plans that incorporate N.M. State Standards, self- assessment methods and other curriculum tools to deliver quality programming. They organize activities and projects that promote positive youth development and leadership. Instructors are responsible for cleaning and organizing areas of the facility used during program hours.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and at least have a high school diploma or GED.
- Instructors work closely with site supervisors and program coordinators to meet program goals and objectives.
Lead Teacher – Pre-K
Seeking Lead Instructor to join our team at Rio Grande Educational Collaborative Pre-K After School Program.
Lead Instructor Responsibilities
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
- Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule
- Provide education on a child’s developmental milestones
- Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
- Are caring, compassionate and love what they do!
- Promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children under his/her care and works with the school’s staff to create an environment of learning and keeps parents informed of the progress of their child.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- CDA or CDC in Early Child Development
- 45 hour Certificate
- Flexibility to the hours and schedule of work.
